This 4 wheel plastic NYC caboose has many of us collectors stumped. The offset coupler does show up on some of the very early tenders but why would it be used on a caboose? Did some of the earliest 4 wheel plastic sets come with these couplers throughout?
The tuscan color of this caboose suggests early production, but on the other hand, it does not have the thin smokestack.
