A TALE OF TWO TRAIN SETS
This little starter clockwork set was sold in the Baltimore area in the early 1970s. As you can see the set matches the box art. Not a rare set but
it does feature the harder to find gray 401 engine and Santa Fe tender.
On the other hand, this Penn Central set is rare and hard to find. Trip Riley found a stack of 530 sets in a Toy Towne store about 1974
and checked the contents of each box. Two of the twelve set boxes contained the PC consist. Apparently these were sold this way. The gray PC tender and green Erie flatcar are
the jewels of this set.
