Some of the most sought after items in the four-wheel plastic series are the flatcars with tractor trailers. Above is the Sears TT which is probably the prettiest. These can be found with either single or dual rear wheels. The black cabs are not uncommon but this one with the Sears medallion on the side is more rare. The NYC flatcar is also somewhat rare. I understand it is easier to find these as new-old-stock than used.



This Western Auto truck is elusive. I searched for years before coming across this one.



The New York Central truck was also hard to find. It's the only one I have had.



The Erie flatcar is a pretty common piece but this one, in tuscan, is very rare. It has the early logo which helps date it. The Allstate trailer is fairly easy to find but this one has an orange cab which is also somewhat scarce.



It was many years into my four wheel plastic collecting before I found this Walgreen trailer. For years I had pictured one found by a twelve year old boy from Ohio.



This Burlington trailer is the most common of all the tractor trailers. There exists a rare variation of this truck that has the logo rubber stamped on the sides in the area embossed for the nameplates. You can see the slots for attaching the nameplates are there but unused. Are any other road names rubber stamped?

Some of these trailers came in more than one color, some have door variations, some have more than one type of logo and some have wheel variations. I have seen the cabs for these trucks in black, red, blue and gray. The Sears cab can be found with or without the logo on the door. You might notice that I am no longer showing the Wards trailer. Someone visiting my web site offered me stupid money for it. I no longer own it! This is my hobby, not my religion.
