The 550 wrecker has always been one of my favorite Marx 6" cars. This example is a red-orange rather than the normal orange.
Also, it does not have the word "WRECKER" printed on the cab sides.
This one is unusual in that the cab was not lithographed at all. It makes one wonder why it was produced this way. Was it a
mistake, a shortage of litho sheets, or was it a cost cutting measure?
This is the first
one of these I have seen but others have indicated that they're around. I wish one was around
me!
