Have you ever seen a nickel plated Barrel Car before? Now you have.
I bought this as a junker about 1992 for $5.00. Recently, while trying to reduce the amount of junk I had accumulated I came across this and decided to restore it. When I stripped the black paint I discovered this beautiful finish underneath. Rather than paint it (who needs a repainted barrel car?) I decided to keep it chrome. I am showing it here as an example of why one must be careful when buying an oddity. Some really interesting "variations" can be produced for little to no cost. If I used an oxidizer to brown the replacement eyelets on this car you would have no way of knowing I had faked it!
