Airflow Loads

The picture above shows three common colors of the Marx Airflow. The two cars at the front are by Wyandotte and are sometimes mistaken for Marx loads. The Marx airflows can be found as frewheelers or clockwork, with steerable or fixed wheels, marked USA, Marx, Cuba, or unmarked. If you are very interested in these cars I have a detailed section covering them on my Six-Inch Guide. If you don't have a copy you should!

Airflow Loads

Bob Rosenberg ammassed this collection of different Airflows. The colors are (TL-BR) blue, light blue, grey, silver, green, light green, tan and red. It appears that the motorized examples are outnumbered about nine to one by the freewheelers. In the picture it appears that some of the blues and reds are duplicated but remember the variations one must consider. When you consider the range of variations you could make a collection of just Airflows!
In the picture below we can see the different markings that show up on these cars. They are (L-R) Made in USA, No marking, Made in Cuba and the Marx logo.

Airflow Loads

Larry Chernow submitted this picture of his rare tan airflow.

Green Airflow

This pale green color is another that you don't often find.

I offer a thorough examination of these 4" vehicles in The DEFINITIVE Guide to Marx trains, Joy Line and Six-Inch Tin.
