This really took me by surprise. I never expected to see an English version of this set. The American counterpart has become known as the Joy Line Standard Gauge Set though it is neither Joy Line nor Standard gauge! The set utilizes Joy Line couplers and pressed steel engine wheels all around but it is Marx. The pieces are nominally standard gauge but it is a floor toy. The domestic set can be found with gondola, coach, caboose, and I believe I've seen a boxcar. The engine is sometimes found with a battery headlamp. This English version seems identical with the exception of that European style front on the engine. Buffers are a clear give-away!
