Halcon Argentina

I love toy trains (in case you hadn't noticed). I collect way too many types despite my serious effort to discipline myself not to buy anything outside my primary collecting interests. It is a struggle and sometimes I simply can't resist. This friction train set is one of those irrestible temptations. It is the only thing I have ever seen made in Argentina. The sides are lettered Halcon in a spoked wheel with eagle, 7195, and Vispa which is probably the manufacturer. The name of the train is Expresso Andino (Andean Express) and the box says con sirena which means with siren. That is stretching it a little!
It is nominally O-gauge and all tin litho. By the condition I would surmise this was made in the nineties (when I bought it). I've never seen another one and I have no regrets about buying this one. It cost all of ten bucks!
