Honeymoon Cottage

From before Louis Marx had producttion facilities of his own he was marketing the Honeymoon Express train toys. Nearly everyone who collects toys or trains is familiar with the toy. There are an endless number of variations several of which I started collecting in the eighties. As I became familiar with the staggering number of variations I decided to let them go and I sold off all my early examples years ago. For some reason I decided to keep these two Linemar examples of the Honeymoon Cottage which is the postwar stepchild of the original. Both of these are adorable and have better action than some of the earlier Honeymoon Expresses.
And how do you like that price on the box - sixty-six cents! Sixty-six cents won't buy you a candybar these days. Before long this fiat money we use won't be worth the cost of a match to burn it with.

Honeymoon Cottage

Here is another example of Honeymoon cottage with an airplane. This is the only example of this particular toy with that airplane.
