This toy is not seldom seen, it is never seen! Apparently, the original figures on these cars were made of an unstable rubber compound which simply softened and drooped until it was in a puddle. Barbara Jones speaks of having seen one still in the original box and the figures are puddled on the base of the car. This one has characters which have begun to droop but are still easily recognizable.
Growing up in the 50's and 60's I admit to being a fan of Popeye so I like this toy, especially the artwork of Sweat Pea on the side.

But ... who is Sweat Pea's father?
