Marx Zig Zag or Wig Wag trains were very popular in the fifties and sixties. Above is a silver engined Crazy Express with the original box. The
foreground train is a Casey Jr. Disneyland Express with a green engine. Both trains use the No. 66 plastic clockwork engine which came in several
colors.
Here are three other variations of the Disneyland Express. I am sure thare is a Silver engine version of this set too, and probably a yellow one
floating around although I've never seen one.
This example of the Disneyland Zig Zag is completely different from the ones pictured above. Not only does it have the tin litho engine it also
has completely different lithography on the cars. This is a Linemar (Japan) production while the ones above are Marx domestic American made.
This interesting Crazy Express is the only four car example I have ever seen. The first and third cars are identical and the set has not been tampered with.
It is also a battery op with a No. 99 engine with painted details. I guess that makes it the deluxe version.
