I had heard tale of the red Joy Line tender but could not remember seeing one before a visitor sent me a picture. Fortunately for me he sold the set to me when he was ready to part with it.
The frame is the heavier gauge steel which indicates later production and the coal load is black.
Which engine does this belong to? The engine and tender are shown as found. I suspect this is the correct engine since it is somewhat unusual itself. The black boilered, red frame pressed steel engines are generally electric but this one is clockwork.
