It had been many years since I last built a layout and the last one I built stood for
14 years. For the 2002 Christmas season I decided to build a small, quick layout to get
some trains running. It is done in the "Christmas Garden" style.
Inner City buildings
are reproduction Pretty Village along with some originals.
Other structures are Marx and Wyandotte. People are primarily Plasticville and the
Vehicles are mainly Marx and Japanese litho.
The track plan is simple, the diorama
is simple, and the captions are "tongue in cheek".

Work detail
I did not want to have too many pictures on this page for loading purposes so I will
describe other details on the layout. The Boy Scouts are hiking and
on the opposite end is an old cemetery.
The trains include a Red Mercury, articulated set , a custom
B&O freight that I repainted several years ago,
a Joy Line freight and a Henry L. Katz
515 Limited. Here's a view of three
trains at once and one of two passing.
This layout will be up for about 30 days when it will be taken down so the train room can
be finished.
