This set shows that it is likely that Marx considered expanding the William Crooks set to
include new road names. This set, labeled Orange and Alexandria, indicates that Marx might
have been considering a Civil War Set, possibly to go with the Civil War Playset! The cars
are dated 1-29-60.
Apparently the Orange and Alexandria was a short line railroad which
operated in Virginia.
Below are the cars. They are production litho St. Paul and Pacific
coach and baggage cars with the names overpainted and the numbers changed to 11 and 33.
The tender is unlettered.
