NOTES------------Marx blue passenger cars have always been hard to find. Sold with the blue Mercury sets in the early 1950s, they typically are equipped with sliding tab and slot couplers. This one, with plastic knuckle couplers, is an over-the-counter item, not included in a set. Very hard to find, I have only seen a few of these in twenty plus years of collectng Marx trains. Also somewhat odd is the blue frame. Blue frames are generally found in sets which were all clockwork and would have been equipped with sliding tab and slot couplers. OTC cars usually have black frames.
CONDITION----VERY GOOD. Some playwear and a straightened dent towards end of this side.
