Canadian Pacific Clockwork Freight Set

This Canadian Pacific Clockwork set is very rare. This was released in 1938 only and both the engine and the flatcar are extremely hard to find. Now, you're thinking that the flatcar is not all that uncommon but think again. This one has twisted sliding tab and slot couplers (TSTSC). Go check your collection and see if you have one! Let me know if you do, especially if you have a duplicate! The one shown is actually a riveted example but you can't tell in the picture so don't tell anyone. I don't own the correct flatcar and need one to complete this set. In the postwar period the auto-flatcar was offered in another (still unknown) clockwork set but that car has punched sliding tab and slot couplers (PSTSC) and plastic wheels. While still hard to find they seem to be more common than the prewar examples.

Another unusual aspect of this set is that the tender is not what one would expect. The blue sided four wheel tapered Canadian Pacific tender would really make sense but the catalog artwork shows the set with the NYC rivet tender. The year being 1938, the tender would have white rivets. The forward only clockwork motor in this engine uses the square shaft slip-in key.
